From 54 Rescue Goats to Several Thousand Head of Livestock
Goats R Us was born out of a lifelong love of ranching and animals. Egon and Terri Oyarzun, along with their young son Zephyr, started their organic weed abatement business with 54 so-called "Charlie Brown goats" — old, handicapped, and far-from-perfect rescue animals — moving them into residential neighborhoods to clear unwanted vegetation.
What began as a small, local operation has grown considerably over the decades. Today, the Goats R Us team includes several thousand head of livestock, experienced South American herdsmen, working Border Collies, and a dedicated 24/7 support staff — all working together to deliver effective, sustainable vegetation management across California.
The Oyarzun family's commitment to ethical animal stewardship is at the heart of everything they do. All livestock owned by Goats R Us live out their natural lives at the family ranch, receiving regular veterinary care, parasite treatment, and daily attention. A special convalescent community exists for retired working goats, who spend their remaining years in a peaceful field with personalized care.
