The Heart of the Operation

Our Goats

From the original 54 rescue animals to several thousand head today — meet the herd that makes it all possible.

Several Thousand Strong

The Goats R Us herd has grown from 54 "Charlie Brown goats" — old, handicapped, far-from-perfect rescue animals — to one of California's largest goat grazing operations. Every animal in our care is treated as a valued member of the team.

Our goats are vaccinated, treated for parasites regularly, and receive routine veterinary care. They are healthy, well-managed, and well-loved. All livestock owned by Goats R Us live out their natural lives at our ranch — no exceptions.

The Convalescent Community

When a goat retires from active field work, they don't leave the family — they move to our convalescent community, a dedicated area of the ranch where retired animals receive special daily attention and enjoy a peaceful, comfortable life.

This community is a direct expression of Goats R Us's founding values. Egon and Terri started with rescue animals, and every goat that has ever been part of this operation ends their life cared for and at home.

  • Individualized daily care for every retired animal
  • Routine veterinary monitoring
  • Peaceful, low-stress environment
  • Part of the herd for life — no exceptions
